It is the first award for Guardiola since his arrival in the Premier League last summer. He is the first Man City head coach to be honoured since Manuel Pellegrini in August 2015.

The 46-year-old was selected by a combination of votes from a panel of experts and the public, from a four-man shortlist that featured Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho, Tony Pulis, of West Bromwich Albion, and Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte.
